In the early 1950’s Hubert Conant began learning the electrical trade and later owned and operated Conant Electric in the City of Elkhart. His future Son-in-law, Randy Moyer, started working with him in 1973 and made the decision to pursue work in the trade. After a short time working for a large contractor in the Elkhart Area, Randy struck out on his own and started Randy’s Electric Service in 1980 working out of the trunk of an AMC Gremlin.

Randy’s Electric Service operated from 1980 until the early 2000’s providing high quality personal service to industrial, commercial and residential clients in the Elkhart area. While the Gremlin didn’t last, the work ethic and quality service that is the hallmark of Moyer Electric did, and it continues to this day.

Shortly after Justin started working in the family business, the name was changed to Moyer Electric Inc. and Justin took over as owner and President. The business has steadily grown since then to include over 25 field electricians doing work on commercial, industrial and residential projects in a 25 mile radius of Elkhart, Indiana.

At Moyer, we’re not just doing work in this community, but we feel a part of the community and do what we can to bless others as we have been blessed. We’re passionate supporters of many area charitable organizations including Elkhart County Jail Ministry, Lifeline Youth Ministries, The Crossing and more.
